In her artistic work, Alina enjoys experimenting with a wide range of materials. With age, she began to enquire into her own inner world and follow creative impulses. Turning a defect into a virtue, she uses collected elements such as pebbles, beach glass, rusty material, driftwood, sand, corals, shells, seeds, plants, branches, tree bark, moos, lichens, as well as paper, photographs, headlines, advertisements, textiles and many others.

The experience itself, the curiosity of what can come out of nothing, is her drive. The bits and pieces found "by coincidence" inspire her work. Some of them appear to her as works of art in themselves. Others are waiting to begin a new journey. She considers such "objets trouvés" as gifts given to her by chance. Gratefully enjoying this opportunity, she assigns them a new meaning. Her art emerges as a collaboration and a dialog with her surroundings.
